Good times.

Fun times in Pasadena. We were around these buildings Saturday and Sunday and it was such a contrast. Saturday was deserted but Sunday was hopping because of a nearby church festival and weddings at city hall! I love the hustle and bustle of it all and I felt completely normal in heels this high. :)

Another gorgeous Sunny Southern California day. I am SO GRATEFUL to live in this beautiful place and to be able to go through winter without a beanie or gloves or 5 pairs of tights like I did last year. Actually I just stayed home all winter instead because even with those things, I was still too cold. I will never take this weather for granted. Born, raised, and forever California.

Overall time.

I do love me some overalls. It was fun taking this 70s flared version from Unique Vintage (ps: everything is 25% off today at their site!!) for a spin. It was pretty chilly this weekend (for LA) so I busted out my pink muppet coat and was nice and cozy. We stopped by Village Bakery and picked up a flourless chocolate cake. I have been eating these for years and years and they are always delicious and the fact that they are heart shaped doesn't hurt one bit.

Hope you all had a magnificent Thanksgiving. We did. It was just our little family of three (+dog) this year but I think we did pretty a-ok for ourselves. :)

Golden Birthday Eve.

Goldie didn't want a party this year so we just had her friend Alice over for some Birthday donuts. I'm pretty sure she had way more fun than she would have if lots of people were staring at her all day (something she gets from her dad AND I).

Halloween!

Well, this is a bit late but Halloween was such fun.
We went out and took a walk in the morn, got some festive holiday donuts, then went to pick out a pumpkin to paint at Trader Joes. We got the last one so it was only $2. The perks of panicking at the last minute and realizing that Halloween is almost over and you still need to make all the memories because your daughter is only 2 at one Halloween! Pheeeeeew.
Anyway, we painted the pumpkin and listened to Halloween music and it was a lovely afternoon.
We got hungry so we decided to head over to The Oinkster in Eagle Rock and had some dinner. We were trying to figure out where to trick or treat but then we saw a church carnival and I think we felt more safe doing that since I think Gabe and I have been to hundreds of church Halloween carnivals in our years.
Goldie played a few games and got some candy. She ate 3 M&Ms and 1/3 of a Nestle Crunch fun size bar and we called it a night.
