This is what I wore to the Christmas party we had at our house this weekend. I wanted to wear a HUGE full skirt and I just couldn't find something suitable but this skirt with no petticoat was way more practical (and less itchy). I shortened this skirt from it's original maxi length because I wanted a mini wine colored skirt, dammit. :)
I thought this sequin mini dress was the perfect festive top. There's something about being sparkly at Christmastime that makes me so happy. I have an outfit planned using the bottom of the dress soon too. Two pieces in one! :)
Sequin Mini Dress (worn as top): c/o Motel
Skirt: c/o Romwe
Shoes: Rachel Comey
Coat: Anthro (borrowed from my mom)
Bag: Vintage
Here's some photos I took while we were setting up for the party. I have not mastered the art of taking pictures in dark lighting so I don't have any of the actual party but you can get the idea of where it went. Obviously, I tried to incorporate as much pink as possible. My favorite Christmas color! (Yes, it is a christmas color...it's diluted red) I had way too much fun making cake pops and peppermint bow marshmallow treats. I'm excited to make more christmas treats to deliver to our neighbors. Gabe made a delightful sangria and my mom and sis helped with everything and it was just so much fun to plan! We're already planning a Valentine's Day party. I want you all to come (seriously) (except for the girl who said I had on too much blush in my last post).
XO, Coury
I'm in love with your skirt!
