I love summer.
I love summer.
I love summer.
Introducing (lol) my second pair of mat pants. These are amazing because they are adjustable inside. You have to get them if you're preg. They come in lots of colors too. I love Asos. I'm thinking of getting the floral ones... I am so excited every morning when I wake up and my belly is just a teeeeeny bit bigger. Love love love it. You still wouldn't be able to tell...but I'm sure that is coming soon. I definitely thought I would be huge by now but I guess everybody is different and it's not good to compare my bump to other bumps although we all know that it's hard not to compare yourself to others. Life lessons.

Since I have had my appetite back, I've had lots to catch up on on Food Gawker. I definitely made these Cake Batter Blondies. I have no idea why these are so good...they are so simple and use cake mix. But they are just really good. Who knows! Anyway, Gabe and I split one and the rest are for my dad. :)
Cake Batter Blondies
Source: Girl Meets Life
Ingredients:
1 (18.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix
1/4 cup canola or vegetable oil
1 egg
1/4 -1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup sprinkles
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine first four ingredients in a large bowl.
Add the milk slowly adding between 1/4 and 1/2 cup. Start with 1/4 cup and add up to 1/2 cup total. You want to cake batter to be as dense and thick as possible for a chewy blondie so try to use the least amount that you can.
Mix in the sprinkles and white chocolate chips.
Pour into 8 x 8inch baking pan, sprinkle a few more sprinkles on top, and bake for 25-30 minutes until edges are just turning brown. The blondies will still be gooey in the middle just out of the oven but after they've completely cooled they will be perfectly chewy and soft.
Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes so the center sets, before cutting into squares.
And last, here are some pictures from our sunset Chipotle park picnic (doubling up on the polka dot tee). Isn't centennial park pretty? And the parthenon building? The detail?? Wow.
I love Nashville.
Whew, that was a long one! Ok, enjoy your week everyone! It's gonna go by so darn fast you won't even know what hit you! ♥

DeleteCongratulations on the baby! Speaking of maternity pants, I have this wonderful photo of my mum when pregnant with me standing next to her two best friends who are pregnant with my best friends, all proudly sporting their maternity pants and baby bellies. the experience must be so exciting! and I really want to try making blondies. I've never really heard of them before, just in films. They look scrumptious.

OH MY GOD! I just found out you're preg.... I've been a silent follower of you're blog for such a long time, but been so busy these months. Such exciting news and different wardrobe options :D.
ReplyDeleteAlso a big fan of Asos! But since I moved to brazil I'm a little afraid of the taxes.
Well just dropped by to say congrats!
Thanks so much! :)
DeleteWow. Your outfit is so bold! And I LOVE it! :] I don't see too many people wearing orange skinnies - especially those that are pregnant. That said, I'm very excited to see how your sense of style is going to maintain itself while you grow into your pregnancy. I hear that's one of the first things to go in an effort to obtain comfiness over style. In any rate, I love the idea of having a Chipotle picnic party! My boyfriend and I are obsessed so I think that's something we absolutely have to do in the near future. Thanks for the idea! (Can't believe it didn't come to me sooner...)
ReplyDeleteMy style will change but it doesn't have to be a bad thing or "go".
