Preg Style.

Being pregnant was so fun.
I mean, yes, it's hard on your body and all the nausea is awful....but as a whole, it was so fun.
Oh wait, I started having bad contractions at 26 weeks and they progressively got worse until I went into labor at 37 weeks 5 days. I guess I've already forgotten that part. Ha ha. That was stressful and mighty painful...and I have high pain tolerance. The feeling of having this little life inside me made all the bad parts disappear. I love looking back now and imagining Goldie all tiny and cute in there, kicking her little legs so hard into my ribs. Ha ha. I feel like I knew her personality already when she was just 16 weeks in the belly when we saw her kicking like a mad woman in her first ultrasound. She has not disappointed and she is a get it done type of gal! My mom says she will be running Nashville by the time she's 5 years old. She'll definitely be keeping us busy and entertaining the hell out of us.

Anyway, I definitely had fun getting dressed with my bump. All my dreams came true! I didn't even have to stick a pillow under my shirt to pretend anymore.

If you're pregnant, my advice is to wear all your cute zip back or pullover dresses. When you're nursing (which is a whole different story that maybe I'll blog about sometime if anybody cares...), you have to wear easy access clothes for like a year! Enjoy your zip backs. For now, I can only wear them on dates. But when you're preg, you can't wear high waist pants or shorts, so I guess it all evens out.

I always wondered why pregnant ladies touched their bellies in photos...and here I am touching it in almost every picture. Ha ha. Well, my bump was never too big so I was trying to accentuate it. SUE ME! :)

Well anyway, I loved seeing what others who care about fashion wore while pregnant so maybe you like to see it too. :) And hopefully now you can pin if you want....I know you haven't been able to pin from here in the past.

Can't believe I was pregnant at this time last year and I didn't even know it! And this year I have this 3.5 month old, 15 pound, absolute cutie by my side every day. Life is magic.

  2. hey coury. i love that you mentioned recently making your blog more of a 'lifestyle' blog...i'm sure others will agree with me but i'm always keen to get to know the bloggers i follow more. How about a 'birth story'? that would be cool. I'm not even preg (trying) but i'm still really interested in what you have to say about little goldie, so knowing more about being a mum in general would be great too. And can we have a proper full tour of your happy abode, pleeeease! X

  3. Awww! Makes me want another one! You definitely had a pregnancy figure to be jealous of. I had hardly any bump, I only wish the rest of me had stayed as tiny as you. Definitely loved you in that orange maxi dress, the gold sequined dress, and the pastel dress xxx

  5. Pregnancy seriously looked so good on you! Meanwhile behind the scenes little Goldie was making you uncomfortable, who knew? Glad she's here now and you're both healthy!

  6. Goldie! Your beanie!! I was this close to buying the same one for myself while I was out shopping over the weekend! Too cute. But you look darling in your diapers covered in a million baby rolls, and I on the other hand can't pull off such cuteness (thankfully!!), so maybe saving the beanie for the baby was a good idea ;)

  17. You were such a cute and stylish preggo woman! And look at that baby girl! *swoon!* I know what you mean about touching the bump in every picture! I didn't want to become like that, but like you, I never got that big. So if you don't, you think people might just think you over-indulged on the Hagen Daaz! Even now at 37 weeks, I had someone caught by surprise when she'd been talking to me for 20 min. and didn't know I was pregnant!

  18. Adorable!! I've had such a hard time dressing myself while pregnant. The clothes I want are so expensive and other than that it seems to be skinny jeans and big sweaters every day! Love this for ideas!

  19. Hi, I have a little girl myself, and I also consider that being pregnant is great, if you feel healthy and have enough energy. I had problems at the beginning with the whole feeling sick part...but after that it was awsome, also for dressing up! It's just wonderful.
Love your style, and your blog, I'm a new blogger myself, and now I discovered you at lookbook, where I just got started.
Wish you the best from Germany, your girl is gorgeaus.

  28. Can I do anything at this stage to get a multiple ovulation in this cycle so that I can try naturally in this cycle (Like one or two doses of clomid or letrozole)?
