We're in...and fighting January all the way through.

Hey guys! Here is a peek at some phone snaps of our one week house progress. It's hard to believe an entire week has passed. It's been a bit of a tough adjustment because Goldie has some teeth trying to come through and has been sleeping terribly. But she LOVES her new room and is being generally mischievous as she should be at 15 months.

Boxes and general clutter bother me immensely (I am a Virgo for pete's sake) so I'm a bit...well...I guess I'll just say..NUTS about unpacking and making a house feel like home right away. I've been waiting so long to get in and get our own light fixtures in, dimmers, and artwork that I kinda just did it all in about 2 days...with a teething baby...so yes, NUTS is a good word for me.

I'll update you as we move along and I'll get some good "real cam" pics soon.




I've definitely been bit by the writing bug this past week but as we all know, she bites when she feels like it and babies don't really have respect for when she chooses to bite. I've decided to find a couple of hours a week to write because it's good for my soul. Where the hours will be coming from, I don't know...but I'm going to find them. I need them.

January is hard on me, and this January is especially bone chilling. I'm tempted to listen to really sad songs like Azure Ray's "November" and find reasons to be melancholy. I'm going to fight you, January. You will have One Direction thrown in your face and we will be dancing along and laughing at your attempt to thwart our happy life. You'll see.

It's my only sister's birthday and I'm snacking on some favreds Jelly Beans and watching Goldie nap on the monitor. I'm excited to venture out into the cold this evening and eat and talk and laugh with my sweet family. There is always a long list of things that can make you/me/us deliriously happy. Even in January.
