2010

Well, my goodness, 2011. How you have creepily crept up on me! I am so glad you are here.

We are party animals so like every year before it, we stayed in and ate fun food and watched one of my favorite movies. :)

Picnik collage

2010 was a challenging year that was defined by two deaths in the family, 1 broken wrist, and 1 broken up band. Those aren't things I would want to define my year, though, so I won't let them.
I find so much happiness in taking pictures with my iphone every day and looking back at them later. I guess that's why I have almost 6,000 pictures on my dinosaur 3g and will be buying a new 4g in the next couple of days.
Most of the time I don't lug around my Nikon D50 so much of the most real, boring moments of the year are captured on the phone camera. I'm going to share some and reminisce about the year a little because I am sappy, sappy, sap of a girl.

I saw the snow for the first time this year (Sad, I know)!

Before we had our own baby, we did a lot of sitting for little George Byxbee Schwartzman. I will always love him.

I played shopgirl with my friend Lisa for a few months.

In March, I had to go and break my wrist roller skating for Rooney's video. It was all worth it to be able to fly through the air like that! I got very good at covering my huge cast...with huge cardigans. :)

Moving stinks, but it's more fun when you keep your treat supply up and find memories you forgot about!

Even though I like "real" coffee more, I still had about 300 Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Starbucks this fall.

At my Aunt (who passed away in September)'s house, she had a wall that had all of the families heights, from baby to grown-up. It's sweet seeing how time passes.

I remember more than 5 lunches with my mom at PF Changs this year. Haha.

I'd like to add up how much we've spend in pastries at Bottega Louie this year. No, wait, I wouldn't want to know!

2/3 of the photos on my phone are of Gabe and I driving while I hold up my coffee for the photo. Dear Lord! There are also an alarming number of latte art photos.

My New Years Resolution last year was to start blogging. My broken wrist hindered the resolution so I really didn't get started on that until July. In 5 months, I went from 0 followers to 1600! I know I sound like a broken record but I truly appreciate every one of you reading what I have to say. Writing is something I have loved since I was a tiny girl and I don't take it for granted that anyone wants to read what I write. It's also so fun for me to share my outfits with you that it makes me a little shaky! :) It's so special that there are so many people who get as excited about clothes and bags and shoes as I do. I also feel this energy from everyone in this blogging community that we're all here to lift each other up and encourage each other. I haven't felt any mean spirited vibes and that warms my heart so much. Thanks for sharing some of 2010 with me. It's meant more to me than you know. I look forward to next year and am excited about what I will be reminiscing about one year from now. My life has changed so much in one short year and I can't wait to what changes 2011 has in store for me and my little family. Onward!

Love you all and I hope your holiday was super special this year!
