I wanna be where your heart is home.

So, this was by far one of the best days ever.

We dropped Birdie off at Day Care and headed to Disneyland with the original 5 + Gabe (who is definitely one of us anyway) for my wonderful sister's birthday.
I was unbelievably comfortable in my midi skirt and slouchy sweater. The weather was divine, there were little to no lines, and I couldn't have asked for more. When push comes to shove in life, nothing nothing nothing else matters to me but time spent with family.

This hat didn't make it very far in the course of the day. One can only handle so many stares throughout the day. It's hard when you just love clothes but you just hate people staring at you. Lucky for me, I live in LA where I can dress how I want with minimal stares. Disneyland is a completely different story.

(Skirt, Bag, Hat- Vintage, Sweater- H&M, Maryjanes- Asos)

Here's a little peek at our day. Thank God for pictures/memories! :)

Hope you all had a fabulous day. LOVE to you.

XO Coury

  8. Disneyland on your birthday is the best. So sweet that you all went as a family! :) I don't know what it is about staring when you're there...it's like all the out-of-towners can't help themselves or something! My BFF and I sometimes walk around holding hands - you can't imagine the stares we get! :D

  9. they only stare cause you look so pretty, so don't worry! The hat is wonderful and the trip looked like so much fun!

  10. I completely empathize! I <3 Disney, but it is pretty much a sea of unfashionable people. It's funny that something as simple as a hat mesmerizes people. Gorgeous outfit though!

  21. Why do people in DLand have to be hatin' on that hat! I think it's perfect for that day, 'cause it can get too bright and sunny out there, constantly walking around. Your pictures are so much fun. And I love the skirt. Looks super comf.

  23. Looks like so much fun! I'm itching to go again. I can't believe people stared at your hat! I would be staring at the fanny packs before I'd stare at a hat...goodness.

  24. I feel like that is a very diverse top. You could wear it with a skirt, shorts, or skinnies. Love it! I know what you mean about the staring...I work in a boating town and people stare at me all the time!

(and i totally get odd stares when i'm there, too! what is up with that?! is it because we're not wearing some sort of visor/fanny pack/cargo shorts combo? i don't get it, i just like to wear pretty things. even at disneyland)

  34. i'd imagine that most of the people at disneyland aren't from the LA area, more like the midwest (where pretty hats like yours aren't the norm).

  36. Love the hat! Your style is so refresing!

Sidenote:Don't know if you are a Ryan Gosling fan or not. I recently read an article in GQ that he is often found at Disneyland. So keep an eye out. (at least that's what I would do :))

    Nevermind, that's creepy.

  45. Looks like tons of fun! And I know what you mean about people staring...if I go anywhere else in Texas besides Austin while wearing something a wee bit out of the norm, then people will stare! This is why I like my Austin bubble!!! Cute outfit as usual!

  55. Mermaids are not merely fairy tale. Amber’s fit and flare wedding dresses 2012 breathe out the secret of mermaid dreams. The silhouette contours to your curves and is accentuated with a trumpet bottom. Lavish lace wedding dresses appliqué usually compliments this fishtail style, pushing the legendary sensation to a profound fairness. Amber’s mermaid wedding dresses, the inconceivable body-hugging passion.
