It was set to be around 60 degrees and cloudy in LA and 85 and sunny in Palm Springs on Sunday. It's also only a 1.5 hour drive. The choice was obvious for the perfect daycation! Boy, what fun we had!
I've said it before and I'll say it all my life- I LOVE PALM SPRINGS. I guess I should get a t-shirt that says "I love Palm Springs". It's the only logical thing to do, really. The t-shirt won't be in all caps.
I think you can get the story of our day through these pictures but I do need to add a couple of things. First, the Jazz band that happened to be playing at the Ace Hotel made me so happy I almost burst! They were so incredibly talented..real musicians. Blew me away.
Second, the dodecagon looking house is Elvis' Honeymoon Hideaway which is a must visit for me on every trip to Palm Springs! (I made myself giggle because of course I don't know what a 12 sided polygon is called offhand. Google is the best. Anyway, I think it would have 12 sides if it went all the way around)
Third, Palm Springs finally has good coffee! Yay!
Fourth and finally, I dressed like what I would like my Easter Basket to look like if I still received Easter Baskets.
