Bar Harbor, MAINE

Another warm, gorgeous day in Maine. Another unreal sunset. Another set of forever memories.

We all LOVED Bar Harbor...or "Bah Hahbah". It is such a darling little town. Gabe, my brother, and I took a walk through some neighborhoods to get a better feel of what it would be like to live there and it was quite charming. A few years ago (5 actually...WOW) we went to Poland with Castledoor and took some walks in the country and it's really a special thing to do to try to imagine how others live. I'm sure the homeowners who see us pass think it more annoying than special but it's worth it to me to see everything when I may never have the chance again. Let's be honest, am I ever going to Poland or Bar Harbor again? Probably not. While I loved them, there are so many more places to see!

Lobster and Blueberries! What a combination! I don't care too much for lobster but I am a total Blueberry GOON. Gabe wouldn't let me try the "famous" blueberry coffee. He's a purist.

Anyway, I was so surprised at how many of you have lived in/live/visited Portland, Maine! We are now bonded forever! :) So, same thing with Bar Harbor...anyone visited/lived/live there?

I bet you got some odd looks in that splendid outfit; people here aren't used to anything more fashionable than jeans and a tee shirt.

  11. Ohmygosh, it's so beautiful and charming there! It's my dream to live in a pretty seaside town in Maine like that...I also really love walking through different neighborhoods, even if the people who live there get irritated, haha. I used to live in a pretty lakeside town in Michigan, and it was so perfect...you'd love it! :)

  23. Goodness, I love your pics Coury! I especially love the one of you with your hat-such a pretty color for a hat. I couldn't believe it's been 5 years since Castledoor went to Poland. I remember watching the vids you guys recorded while you were there-and thinking man, I'd really love to go to Poland. And I meant to ask you in your last post, but who designs your sunnies? It's exactly the kind of tortoise-shell sunglasses I've been looking for.

  25. I love Bar Harbor! I stayed there for a week last summer when I was on a road trip. We camped in the national park and had a great time going into the Bar Harbor for dinner and fun. I especially loved the little pizza place/movie theater they have there.
We also went to Portland on that trip...what a beautiful city! I'm so glad you got to see these two magical places. Your pictures from the trip are lovely!
