I loved frolicking around in this dress. My sister took these pics about a week ago but I forgot about posting them. We were hanging out in Pasadena and this reminds me that she needs to come back like right now. It was feeling like late spring that day and I didn't even need a jacket. :) The day will come again soon!

Up On Cloud Number Nine.

I think we all know I'm definitely more of a dog person. We had tons of cats growing up and not one of them was a snuggler (I guess that's not a word though it should be). Birdie would seriously snuggle with me on my lap ALL DAY LONG if she could.
Anyway, the point is that although I am not a "cat person", I am most definitely a "cat sweater person". I couldn't love this sweater any more. It's actually a dress but, gimme a break, I'm 5'9"! :)

This was a most fun day of thrift shopping, family times, and food.

Anyway, I'll admit this outfit is a bit much and it could have done without the cat sweater but it also would have been really rude to the cat sweater to edit it out. And that's that.

A few things about today:

1. I have been collecting outfits for our anniversary trip coming up in about a week! We still aren't sure what we're doing but I guess we should decide soon! I absolutely cannot wait! We will miss Birdie for sure (she's staying with my fam) but it will be fun to be just the two of us again for a bit! Is there anything more fun than planning outfits for a fun trip with your best friend?? And yes, that is a Bicycle print blouse!! I realize that every sentence in this paragraph has an exclamation point and I do apologize.





2. Birdie is the cutest girlie in the whole world (to me).




3. I put cream in my coffee this morning.

The lights are blinding, but it gets there.

Hello! We're visiting my family this "weekend" and doing absolutely nothing at all. It's great. I'm not at all accustomed to typing a blog entry from my phone, which I am now attempting. #inconvenient (isn't it funny what twitter has done for the number sign?) I kinda like that we don't have any good coffee bars here so we "have to" get Starbucks. :) it's also been a fun weekend because there might be some life changes on the way for our mini family. More later if it pans out, I guess. Sometimes even if prospective things don't work out, just the fact that it reminds you that there's always new possibilities on the horizon is enough encouragement to keep you going! Life is so great. Sometimes I'll just be driving down the freeway by myself and just be amazed at how beautiful life is, for no reason at all. Anyway, what can you do with a sentimental heart? :)

I was super cozy and comfy today as we ran our "errands" which weren't really errands at all. I'm sure someday we will have busier weekends and I'll look back on these lazy ones quite fondly.

Oh, and here's Birdsie with her new peter pan collar. I knew she had to have one because of her blog illustration. I just cut it off the dress she wore in the last post. Pleated peach, pretty please (+ Sea of Bees giveaway)

Hope you're having a swell day. :)

I've worn this dress (which I'm wearing as a blouse here) 4 times already but hadn't had the chance to take pictures in it. It's such a pretty peach color and I basically just love it. It's definitely been more chilly lately so I chose to wear it with my riding pants today..and it was windy so my hat kept flying off. C'est la vie!

Kinda weird that I wore booties with a heel today, I guess. I wore these a lot last year but I realized that I just usually have more fun if I wear flats because it gives me more freedom to prance around like an 8 year old. Sometimes it is fun to wear a heel, though.

I'm such a brat but I am sick of the "cold" weather. It's not even cold, but I am addicted to warm weather. I can't help it! For a couple of years my family lived in a tiny town called "El Centro" that was practically in Mexico and it was so hot there we had to put huge ice blocks in our pool to keep it tolerable. I think it ruined me forever. I would brag to myself in my head some mornings because I was able to walk to school in the winter without a jacket. Ok, Maybe I am just crazy...that must be it.

Add just a touch of magic.

Hello! We've getting some icky stormy weather here but this morning it's sunny as ever! There's nothing quite like the sunlight.

My mom bought me this little purse from Anthro yesterday. So sweet. What a gal!
It's the perfect size for me. I used to carry HUGE bags everywhere and they ended up absolutely filled with trash (mostly candy wrappers and straw wrappers) and my neck and shoulders suffered. Sounds terribly dramatic, right? Well, I have a lot of small bags now and I'll show you my necessities that fit perfectly in this little bag. The only downer was that I wore this purse to a meeting yesterday and had nowhere to put my little portfolio book. You have to pay the price of being seen carrying your little portfolio book around if you don't want your shoulders to fall off. Anyway, next time I'll show you what I can fit in my huge bags...it will be funny.



-iPhone LOVE.
-The perfect pink Mac lipstick and Bobbi Brown cover stick just in case. They stopped making the lipstick and I can't tell you how sad I am that I now have to buy it on eBay for three times what it's worth. I have to bite the bullet, though, because it's honestly the only lipstick I've ever liked.
-I was trying to remember who makes this genius little leather mini purse. It's perfect for my cards and ID (and cash although I never carry cash). I can't even google search to find it. It's from Tenoversix.
-Keys to the Prius and my keycard to get in the building.
-DumDums from my dad. I always always always have at least a little something sweet in my purse. :)
-Oh yeah, my sunglasses are supposed to go in there too! I cannot go anywhere without sunglasses. My eyes are way too sensitive.


Well, I wore this outfit on purpose because we snapped these pics right before the big storm came. I'm trying to keep things Easter-egg-ish. I guess that's my new thing until Easter comes since Valentines Day is over. ;)
