Comfort.

Greetings!

I have been craving a really oversized, cozy, cable knit sweater and Romwe delivered. I made Gabe buy a great ivory one for himself at Jcrew but I really just wanted him to buy it so I could wear it myself. I'm glad I have my own now so I don't have to sneak his (even though he doesn't care at all that i wear it).

Anyway. As you can see, it's been a little gloomy here. I won't lie, I am having a bit of a hard time with this weather. I knew I would and I mentally prepared myself for it. It's no surprise. I didn't expect to dream of palm trees LITERALLY every night, but I do. The thing is, I have so much more to be thankful that I can't stay mad at the weather. I did flip Nashville the double bird yesterday (sorry mom) out the car window. It got a laugh out of Gabe so it was worth it. :) And, yes, I am a big fat baby because the weather is in the 50s most days. I guess what I'm trying to say is that life isn't always perfect but you can ALWAYS find the bright side of things. Having nice weather will never be a substitute for having our very own dream house and my family only 15 miles away. FORGET ABOUT IT! :)

....and today the sun in shining bright and beautiful. The night must end and the sun will rise.

Speaking of The Lion King stage show...well...just speaking of it, that's all.

  11. I feel you on the weather!! I was in Nashville all day Saturday and didn't bother to wear a coat. BAD IDEA. When the wind blows, a coat is a necessity. You're looking mighty cozy in that sweater...I'm a little envious.

  12. Big fan of this! The jumper is perfect and looks great with the denim shirt. Love your little socks and hat too! Miserable weather can be so annoying, England is horrid 99% of the year so I'm more than used to it though

  17. i miss the mountains everyday. i dream about them too & i've lived in texas for over 3 yrs. i knew they were beautiful, but totally took them for granted. now when i see them it feels like home. that's probably what the palm trees are for you, dear coury. wish i could send you some sunshine.

  19. That sweater looks so unbelievably cozy! And I love that it's long too. Most sweaters I see nowadays are just too short.

  24. Yikes! It looks so cold, but I agree warm weather is no substitute for being close to your family. Although my dream house has to be in a warm weather state. I will most likely stay in California forever. Cute loafers, by the way.
