We went to The Amazing Spiderman with my parents on Saturday and that was loads of fun. I did deal with some guilt over it, though, as babe girl was moving around the whole time. I felt like it was upsetting her. I asked my doctor if it was ok to go see action movies and she said it was totally fine and baby only hears muffled watered down versions of what I hear...but she was moving around so much that I felt guilty...not sure if I'll get to go see Batman now...anyone else deal with this unfounded guilt? Guess it's only the beginning for me! :)
Also, nesting has officially begun! It seems a bit early but I have been cleaning and organizing like a crazy person and am currently obsessed with getting all baby gear bought and ready IMMEDIATELY. It seems like life or death in my mind even though I know it isn't and we have over 3 months to do it and we don't even really need a lot of the things I am convinced we need today. It's pretty funny and I'm enjoying every second of it. The best thing is that Gabe is nesting too. HAHA. He said I inspired him. What a great pregnancy symptom to pick up. He's the absolute best. So blessed to have him as a partner. ♥
Anyway, super comfy summer outfit. Breezy silk blouse and boyfriend jeans. The end.

What fun!
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how and what the baby reacts to.
We made it a nightly routine to put headphones on my belly for my son to listen to our favorite music.
Some songs would make him go nuts...not sure if he hated it or loved it. LOL
But now he is almost 4 and loves music and playing music something crazy.
Have fun nesting and getting it all ready.
I am sure you are super excited to get that little girls room all together.
Amy

ReplyDeleteHi Coury! I just discovered your blog and I am in heaven! I adore your style and just bought a few dresses from your lovely store. You look amazing. Really beautiful! Love the way you styled those jeans with the wedges.
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate to feeling guilty about making my baby upset when I was pregnant last year! Anytime I would get anxious or upset I would immediately think of my baby and if I was traumatizing her! She moved around in my belly constantly, which freaked me out too! I generally tried to stay away from anything that I knew would upset me.
Oh and the nesting. I tell you what I went crazy organizing and throwing things out. Bags of stuff taken to Goodwill! I even organized our shed outside.
Hope this makes you feel better, all the things you are feeling are totally normal so don't stress!

ReplyDeleteOh that mama guilt has begun... too sweet. A quick story... when we were expecting our first we attended a funeral that had a bag piper playing during the service. I would have been about the same point in my pregnancy then as you are now. Well it was so quiet & then this bag piper started doing their thing and whamoo... our little boy was so startled that I felt him in every quadrant of my belly bump. Then he settled. The service continued and at the end the bagpiper started up again with the same startling results. I felt so bad for our sweet boy and found myself rubbing my tummy and telling him all was well that sound is just part of his heritage. Sweet belly rubs to you to!

Aw, I loved reading that...thanks so much for sharing. :)
DeleteThis look is so amazing! Comfy, and chic. That printed top looks so pretty on you. I remember when I was newly pregnant and my friend wanted to go out for Halloween. So we went to this restaurant that was playing very loud music and I was so afraid of going anywhere near the speakers because I felt like the vibrations were going to interfere with whatever was going on in my belly! It's amazing the sense of "mama bear" protection you get over your little ones before they are even here yet. :) <3
