Bright light city.

Hey cats!
It's good to be home and remember such a fun trip behind you. Sure is! Las Vegas was probably not the BEST idea for a Babymoon just because you have to do so much walking. We rented a car and drove most places but you still have to do an incredible amount of walking to even get your car, then get down to the pool, and get anywhere really. Even though I may not look much bigger, my joints and ligaments have definitely loosened and my body can't handle too much stress at this point. Usually I'm the one suggesting we walk 5 miles down the strip to a certain restaurant. This time I kept asking Gabe to slow down. Haha. It was so crazy thinking about the fact that this will be our last trip and even if we do eventually leave Baby girl with my mom for a few days and take another grown-up trip, nothing will be the same. I mean, we miss Birdie and talk about her so much while we're away that I can't even being to fathom how much we would miss our human! It was surreal and beautiful that she came with us on this trip and I didn't have to worry about her at all. Best of both worlds! :)

We spent a nice amount of time at the pool, ate a lot (Bouchon is one of my favorite places ever), and loved each other. I really couldn't have asked for a better time. I am happy to be home though. We came home to a sparkling clean house courtesy of my mom. I was blown away. WHO gets that done for them?? I am blessed (wish there was a better word for blessed...but it just seems appropriate).

Anybody read "Bringing up Bebe?" It was fascinating!

Ok, here are just tons and tons of pics. I have so much work to catch up on but I'm almost out of second trimester energy! Well, let's see what I can get done in the next couple of months!

  3. Sounds like a great time!
Pregnancy definitely takes a toll on your body, but after it's over you miss it :) My sister in law works at Bouchon, the manager is so nice when went there he started bringing out one complimentary thing after the other! He was even bringing out alcohol (at 11am!) neither of us drink though and my mother in law felt bad about us leaving it there that she downed both mine and my husbands! It sure made for an interesting day...

  5. Yes! Bringing Up Bebe is the one parenting book I'm reading before our wee one comes and I am LOVING it. Not everything I agree with (like any book), but I wasn't planning on reading any because I hate the writing style of most self-help type books. It has sparked tons of great convos with my husband and we are learning so much about each other and what being a good parent means to us. I recommend it to all my friends now.
    btw, beautiful pics :)

  12. I'm so glad you enjoyed your babymoon and the pics are stunning! I love the one of your profile laying on the sofa. So cute! I forgot about the loosening ligaments. Ouch! I remember getting such bad sciatic pain in my hips from having to sleep on my side all the time. Everyone always said to get sleep while you could before the baby came. But with the sciatica and hourly trips to the bathroom, I think my body was just getting me ready for being awake all hours of the night! LOL. You look lovely though! <3
