Fringe Benefits.

I am a total sucker for adorned shoulders. Now, do I resemble a football player? Maybe. I'm sure that's what my brother would say if he saw me wearing this. :) Oh, if my sister and I had a dollar for every comment our brother made about our outfits!

I've worn these pants a hundred times and I think I might retire them. Ok, I just looked so I could show you and I've only worn them three times. Oh, reality. I'm still retiring them.

(Sweater- Modcloth, Pants- Vintage, Bag- Miss Albright, Scarf- Vintage, Belt- Vintage, Socks- JCrew, Shoes- Asos)

Yummy Cortados (or Gibraltars depending on who you ask) at Proof Bakery. Speaking of Proof, I made a little list of some of my favorite places for coffee, treats, fun, and shopping. It's far from comprehensive but it's just the first places that come to mind when I think of what I want to do on a lazy weekend.

In other news, how cute are these two??? Love. Them.

Day Dressin'.

Hmm..what Spring saying hasn't been used to title a blog post in the last month or so? Every single time I post lately, I think "Spring Fling" "Spring Fever" "Spring Forward" "Spring in my Step" "Step into Spring" "Spring Special"...etc.

This dress is from Universal Studios and I ain't talking about the theme park. I'd like to think it was used in a film in the 60's. I am going to go ahead and think that so please don't burst my bubble, ok? :)

Well, here's what I wore to meet Gabe for lunch in Santa Monica. He's gone for a lot of hours in the day now since he has an amazing new job doing what he loves. Birdie and I miss him a lot (and everyday I'm all dressed up with no one to take my picture! I have months of outfits planned. Ohhh, poor me!). It was so nice to have lunch together in the warm sun!

Something so square about her.

So, hi, wow. I understand that this is an inconceivable amount of photos for one post to handle. It was just one of those days when every moment looks beautiful and if you don't share a picture of it, you'll forget that it ever happened.

It was set to be around 60 degrees and cloudy in LA and 85 and sunny in Palm Springs on Sunday. It's also only a 1.5 hour drive. The choice was obvious for the perfect daycation! Boy, what fun we had!

I've said it before and I'll say it all my life- I LOVE PALM SPRINGS. I guess I should get a t-shirt that says "I love Palm Springs". It's the only logical thing to do, really. The t-shirt won't be in all caps.

I think you can get the story of our day through these pictures but I do need to add a couple of things. First, the Jazz band that happened to be playing at the Ace Hotel made me so happy I almost burst! They were so incredibly talented..real musicians. Blew me away.
Second, the dodecagon looking house is Elvis' Honeymoon Hideaway which is a must visit for me on every trip to Palm Springs! (I made myself giggle because of course I don't know what a 12 sided polygon is called offhand. Google is the best. Anyway, I think it would have 12 sides if it went all the way around)
Third, Palm Springs finally has good coffee! Yay!
Fourth and finally, I dressed like what I would like my Easter Basket to look like if I still received Easter Baskets.
