Dreamin'

Dreamin' of fall. And not California fall which isn't fall at all.
That doesn't mean I can't wear fall colors & fabrics!
I had a wonderful birthday. It's still my birthday for a couple of weeks though. (:
We just relaxed and my dad drove us to the forest.
I got fun gifts and Gabey woke up early and got me flowers and a pumpkin latte (guilty pleasure).

My mom lost her sister to cancer on Saturday so it was extra important for me to be with my family for my actual birthday.
I am named after her and I'm so glad. When I was younger I was so embarrassed that my middle name was Jane...now that she's gone it's just really special. She always took care of business and I would have gone crazy if I didn't have her bossing everyone around at my wedding. That is one of my best memories with her. I aspire to take on some of her assertiveness! Not much more I can say about the situation that is positive or inspiring so I will zip it.

Sisters are the special-est.

  1. Lovely, yet again, Coury!

I was just talking to a friend about fall and how it is never fall in LA and I miss being back east during this time of year! However, I too sport some fall wear and at least it has gotten a little cooler and even cloudy here in LA LA Land, which helps give it more of a fall feel! :)

Glad you are enjoying it and those cinnamon rolls look divine and a pumpkin latte sounds like perfection!

  3. I luv your blog & it just hit me that you were in Castledoor. I found your blog a few months ago so it's funny to have this realization now. (I saw one of your sets at SXSW YEARS ago.) Looks like you had a great bday! So sorry about your aunt.

  10. I'm sorry about your aunt Jane. She must have been a really neat lady to have been related to you.

On a lighter note, I love these pictures. I think they're some of my favorites so far. You certainly lead a charmed life.

  11. so sorry about your loss. i recently lost an aunt too and although i wasn't as close to her as you seemed to be with yours, it still was hard to see my family mourning and in grief.

your photos are so visually pleasing! i love the way you edit, and your outfits too, of course :)
