I can't believe how much light this place gets!
I was dancing around to something..probably "ol' blue eyes" himself.
We got to go out to lunch with my mom today. That was a real treat.
I have succumbed to the fact that I will be renewing my driver license on my birthday. Stupid procrastination! Stupid Labor Day!
Anyway, I kind of look like the devil in these pictures.

That's my pink television. I fought hard for that one! Now Gabe's saying we need a bigger television but that's as big as pink tv's come! I will keep fighting for it! (: Other items you'll spot in the white shelves include a mermaid ceramic in honor of Disney's the Little Mermaid (not Hans Christian Andersen's version), New Moon (who knows why that's the only Twilight book I have), a painting my sister did of Castledoor's Follow the Dove Ep cover, Tales from Avonlea DVD, a real Japanese doll from one of my favourite clients when I cut hair at Rudy's, a million Lucky magazines, a Hermans Hermits record cover, and Scrabble. Good times. Anyway, this place is still nowhere near being finished...so much to do!

Love to all.

Fake Weekend.

Well, I lied. Not much relaxing this weekend!
My sis just snapped a couple of pics in our buildings hallway.
We worked really hard on our old place so we could get back the $1600 deposit we had to pay. Crazy, I know.
I don't ever want to see another can of paint, roller, or paintbrush. Ever. Again.
Had sandwiches for lunch at Larchmont. I hadn't been in a while. Forgot how amazingly good they are.
Then we had pizza delivered to our loft for dinner. It was very....convenient...but no Bottega Louie. We just didn't feel like walking down to pick it up. Next time, I will walk through herds and herds of crazy folk to get Bottega pizza.
Now we're watching "Julie & Julia". God bless instant netflix. We made a Pegboard for our kitchen inspired by Julia (& Meryl because I love her).

Got lots of work to do tomorrow but it's hard to do anything when serious things are happening within my extended family. Always reminders to cherish those I love.

Goodnight everyone. Dream about Jesus. My mom used to say that to me before bed every night. It definitely helped me sleep better. (:
Tomorrow is a brand new day! Hopefully it will be filled with Lace & Polka Dots. And cooler September weather.

BTS

Hey guyszees.
I'm too old to go back to school but I still wanted to wear a back to school outfit. I love this mustard and dusty blue combo.
These past couple of weeks have been CRAZY. We might actually get to relax in the next few days..a little. (:

My sister is here finally! We are going to walk down to Bottega Louie and get a coffee and a treat in a lil.

Hi guys. We just got our internet back this morning. As much as I love having cable & internet, it was actually really nice without it the last few days. Without the internet I would have no job, though, so thank you internet! We spent a lot of time staring out the windows. Sounds like a joke but there is a building parallel to us and most people don't have curtains or shades. Ok, I guess it's creepy but you can't really see them. It's more like watching an ant farm. We love living Downtown so far. Always something going on.
We took some pics up on the rooftop of our building yesterday. I decided I'm not one for the sheer blouse movement. I even got a cute ruffled polka dot bra to go underneath. I just didn't feel comfortable once I remembered everyone could see my bra...I didn't even think about till I got downstairs though. Oh, life! I do love this Lacey dress/top though. With a silky tank top underneath next time.

HIgh waisted trousers- Thrift (The brand is Seventeen..like the magazine..it's weird.)

Ok, hope you're all doing fabulously.
Gotta finish getting this house in order...and everything set up to run shop from here.
But first....I need lots of coffee.

Pack it up.

So, I guess this is our heat wave...and I still wear a cardigan everywhere.
Spent the morning packing up everything and essentially destroying all the order I've tried to hard to create at this place for the last three years. Well, we must destroy in order to rebuild!
This cool, crepey, floral tank dress is perfect for the heat.
Also, I painted a new Olive green stripe on my bag. Refreshed! I'm thinking of buying a Mulberry Alexa rip-off on eBay..I just need to admit to myself that I'll never buy the original so...might as well! It's kind of trendy anyway..the whole satchel thing. But I super love it.

I'm trying to get my order back so I turned on Father of the Bride 2. Feeling better. Oh, Nina Banks due date was Labor day and I was born on labor day. Nice useless info for ya. (:

Back to work!
Hi guys. Hope you're having a sweet Saturday. I'm heading out to visit some family.

Here's a sampling of what's ending in a couple of hours. Click the pic to shop. (:

Love.

Free as we'll ever be.

The beach towns of Central California are so distinct. We met up with Gabes family for the "weekend" and lived like the locals. Jk. Total tourists!
It was pretty chilly which is nice for August. When we got back here to LA it was blazin'! Now we are finishing painting our new loft. Let me tell you, we underestimate the high ceilings. If I ever have to go back to home depot again I'll lose it! We did get fun pastries and I got a faux Angeleno at Bottega Louie this morning before we started so that definitely helped!

I had been on the lookout for a big ivory cardigan and I love this one! I might not even sell it! Ha. I also saw a picture of a girl wearing a peach skirt and red bag and fell in love with the color combo. I think it's my new forest green/lavender. :)

Other than that, I loved seeing Gabe with our niece, London. Especially now that I got babies on the brain! Can't wait.

What I wore, what I saw, what I did.
Well, now you know after you don't hear from me for awhile you will get bombarded with a million pictures when you do hear from me. :)
Had a great time..now back to moving reality. The reality is, it sucks...and I don't say "sucks".

Love to all!
